Research Interests:

My research focuses on the problems associated with the adoption, and roll-out, of disruptive / novel computing technologies.

Such technologies, including FPGAs, FPAs, multi- and many- core systems, (and related hybrid systems) and cloud computing present significant hurdles for would-be users.

Current, specific projects include:

  • the development of algorithms for execution on disruptive / novel technologies
  • the development of middleware (accelerator environments) that supports intelligent, guided development and tuning of algorithms for execution on disruptive / novel technologies
  • the intelligent management of resources within cloud environments with a focus on secure data management
