Biography
Since graduating with a BSc Hons in Social Psychology, I undertook a PhD in the area of Child/Health Psychology, specifically investigating school children’s oral health applying the Theory of Planned Behaviour. In 2011, I worked on an 18-month project with the Northern Ireland Centre for Food and Health (NICHE) based at the University of Ulster Coleraine where I conducted a needs assessment of young people not in education, employment or training.
Currently, at ICCR, I am working as a Research Assistant involved in both the Lifestart Study and Ready to Learn Programme.
I am a Graduate Member of the British Psychology Society (MBPsS) and, a General Member of the Division of Health Psychology.
Research interests
Attitudes, specifically attitude-behaviour relationship and change; Social psychological theory; Health behaviours and promotion; Child and Adolescent Development; Mixed methods research.
