Dr Stockdale is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Member of the Geographical Society of Ireland, European Society of Rural Sociology, and the QUCAN research network.

She frequently referees academic papers submitted to international journals and research applications submitted to the leading research funders.  She is also on the Editorial Board of Migration Letters.
