The Centre for Evidence and Social Innovation (CESI) held its first Sandpit event on 3rd April 2017 in The Canada Room, QUB.
Sandpits are interactive workshops that have a multidisciplinary mix of participants, that come together to drive lateral thinking and radical approaches to address research challenges. The event, organised by Dr Sarah Miller and Dr Laura Dunne, focused on the theme of Health and Wellbeing in Schools, one of CESI's research programmes. The day was successful in bringing together a group with a broad range of experience and interests and resulted in the identification of a number of ideas for research applications. The group plans to reconvene in May to further develop its plans.
