Two solicitor trainees, James Gunn and Daniel McCorry, recently represented IPLS at the Fourth Annual EU Debate at European Union House in Dublin.

This year’s topic was “Should Ireland retain its opt-in opt-out system for justice and home affairs?”

Teams from IPLS, The Law Society of Ireland – Cork, The Honourable Society of King’s Inns and The Law Society of Ireland – Dublin participated in this year’s debate.

Representatives from 7 EU Embassies attended the debate which was followed by a reception courtesy of the European Commission representation in Ireland.
