International Client Counselling Competition 2010
Thanks to the continued generous support of the Law Society (NI), two IPLS solicitor trainees, Neil Hendron and Brendan Hanvey recently represented N. Ireland
at the annual International Client Counselling Competition which was hosted this year by The University of Hong Kong.
The IPLS team competed against 21 other teams from around the world including last year’s winners, USA. The competition gave the IPLS team a once in a lifetime opportunity to engage, compete against and socialise with law students from across the globe.
The IPLS team got through to the semi-finals of this year’s competition and missed out on a place in the final by one point. New Zealand won this year’s competition, England and Wales were second and the USA were third.
Social events during the competition included an opening reception at The University of Hong Kong and a Closing Banquet at the famous Jumbo Floating Restaurant at Hong Kong Harbour.
