  • 2006 - 2007 – Law Centre (NI), Belfast/Derry – Associate Mental Health Legal Adviser.

Teaching:

I have been teaching at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, at Queen’s University since 2007.  During my time at IPLS I have developed, organised, taught and examined Accounts, Administration of Estates, Revenue,  PACE and Conveyancing 2.

I completed my PGCHET at Queen’s in 2009.

I regularly attend conferences and continuing professional development events relating to vocational legal training and to legal practice relevant to my areas of teaching.

I coach our trainees for various international legal competitions including the International Client Counselling Competition, the Annual EU Debate and the International Negotiation Competition. We have won many of these international competitions.

During my time at Law Centre (NI) I was involved in the design, development and delivery of courses on mental health law, the Bamford Review and related issues.

During my time in private practice I was involved in the design, development and delivery of courses to junior solicitors/trainee solicitors on specialist areas of law including M&A work and IP law.

I also wrote a number of articles on IT/corporate law including a feature article on strategic alliances which was published in PLC magazine and e-commerce related articles which were published in IT Law Today and similar journals.
