Constituent Colleges

There are five theological Colleges recognised to teach Theology on behalf of the University.  Please note that St Mary’s University College currently do not offer any courses on behalf of the Institute. 


 Belfast Bible College  Edgehill Theological College
 Irish Baptist College  St.Mary's University College
 Union Theological College  School Structure

Each College offers a close-knit and supportive community. Although some of the Colleges may be linked to a particular Christian denomination the courses are non-denominational in character, and are open to all suitably qualified applicants, no test of religious belief being imposed on any person.

Within each College the members of staff have a wide variety of research interests and expertise. Many have taught Theology not only in Ireland but also in other parts of the world.



Structure

The Institute of Theology is made up of Theological Colleges recognised to teach Theology on behalf of the University.  In addition to enrolling with the University, each student must register with one of the Colleges listed below.   Each College offers a close-knit and supportive community.  Although some of the Colleges may be linked to a particular Christian denomination the courses are non-denominational in character, and are open to all suitably qualified applicants, no test of religious belief being imposed on any person.

The University’s Institute of Theology, headed by a Director, coordinates the delivery of QUB taught programmes within the Colleges and is responsible for the maintaining of standards, both academic and procedural.
