Institute of Theology Research
Research opportunities are available in Theology. After successful completion of a Theology undergraduate degree, students can proceed to take one of the following:
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
Master of Philosophy (MPhil)
Master of Theology (MTh)
The PhD and MPhil are both research degrees, while the MTh is a taught course where the student takes four taught modules: a Research Study Skills module; 3 further modules (to be assessed by either 100% coursework or examination) and a dissertation.
A Master of Divinity (MDiv) is also available to those candidates who have a primary degree in a subject other than Theology and who wish to pursue a more vocational course.
All of these degrees are available on a full-time or part-time basis.
