Some information about yourself. What are your particular interests in Irish Studies?
I'm a first generation college student and currently studying at Allan Hancock College. My interest in Irish Studies came from my background. My mother's surname is Hollywood & father's Dougherty.

What attracted you to this International Summer School? Why did you choose this particular programme?
I've always been wanting to study overseas. My instructor told me about this programme and it all fell into place from there. I couldn't pass on it.

Which aspects of the Summer School did you particularly enjoy?
I enjoyed all of it! Fieldtrips are wonderful because you feel more a part of the country when you see it for yourself. I really enjoyed making new friends from around the world.

What do you think of the student facilities?
I think the facilities are top notch! I'm staying in Ash 4 and it has been wonderful. Everything that I need is here. I recommend it to everyone.

What do you think of the social life in Belfast?
Social life here is great. I've spent probably too much time at the pubs here and its been absolutely wonderful.

Would you recommend the Queen's University Summer School programme to potential students?
Of course! I would definitely reccommend it. I'm actually thinking of doing it again! It's been such a great time and the staff have been great.
