Entry Requirements

The International MBA is intended for a variety of candidates, primarily:

  • graduates from any discipline;

and/or,

  • holders of an equivalent approved professional qualifications or work experience will be considered

Normally a 2:1 Honours degree or an equivalent recognised qualification in any subject area.  A 2:2 Honours degree or an equivalent recognised qualification may be acceptable if a candidate can demonstrate programme relevant skills and/or experience.

Non-standard Entry Routes

Applications from interested parties with accredited prior experiential learning (APEL) in business or management or marketing will be considered on an individual basis. A formal interview, the submission of written work, exam, and/or GMAT test may form part of the application procedure.

 

 

Additional Information for International Students

Evidence of language proficiency will be required. International applicants should also have one of the following:

  • An IELTS score of 6.5 with not less than 5.5 in each of the four component elements of listening, reading, speaking and writing taken within the last 2 years
  • A TOEFL score of 90+ (internet based is the only acceptable form of this test); with at least the following scores in each of the four component parts of listening (17), reading (18), speaking (20) and writing (17) taken within the last 2 years
  • A first or good second class honours degree from a university based in the UK, ROI or other suitably quality assured location in the country which is deemed by the UKBA to be the majority English speaking.
  • A language assessment conducted by INTO-Queen's or other approved provider
  • An alternative English Language qualification recognised by Queen's (for example International Baccalaureate)
  • GMAT is not a general requirement, but candidates who have taken it should submit their scores as this might benefit their application.

INTO University Partnerships - INTO Queen's University Belfast Graduate Diploma in Management or Graduate Diploma in Finance, with an average mark of at least 60% taken across all modules, with no individual academic module mark below 50%, and a result of 60% or greater (comparable to IELTS 6.5 with minimum on 5.5 in each component) in the English for Academic Purposes module (NTO3001)
