Scholarships

Queen’s University Management School is pleased to announce a number of new International MBA scholarships for home/EU and  international postgraduate students commencing their studies in September 2013. To be eligible for these scholarships, a student must:

  • have firmly accepted their offer from Queen’s University Management School by 15 July 2013
  • satisfy the eligibility conditions for the specific scholarship and the terms and conditions (see below)
  • be self-funding: students whose fees are fully paid by a sponsor such as an employer or government are not eligible

Students who are partially sponsored and partially self-funding are eligible, provided that they are paying their own fees equal to at least the amount of the scholarship.  All scholarships will take the form of a reduction in fee. The scholarships available are:

International MBA Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme Terms and Conditions

(Students commencing a taught postgraduate International MBA programme at Queen’s University Management School in 2013/14 only)

International Scholarships:
2 scholarships at £9,000 (will be awarded competitively on the basis of academic performance)
2 scholarships at £4,500 (will be awarded competitively on the basis of academic performance)

Other international applicant scholarships at £2,000

Home/EU Scholarships:
2 scholarships at £9,000 (will be awarded competitively on the basis of academic performance)

Eligibility Conditions

The student must:

  • For international scholarships be regarded as an overseas student for fees purposes
  • For home/EU scholarships be regarded as a home/EU student for fees purposes
  • Have accepted Queen’s University as their firm choice by the 15 July 2013
  • Be registered on the taught postgraduate International MBA programme at Queen’s University Management School by the 30 September 2013
  • Commence their programme in 2013
  • Meet their offer criteria in full
  • Be a self-funding student; partially sponsored students are eligible provided that they are paying their own fees equal to at least the amount of the scholarship
  • Satisfy the eligibility conditions for the specific scholarship award

Notification of Scholarships

Students will be notified by mid-August 2013 whether they will be entitled to a scholarship.

Scholarship conditions

All scholarships take the form of a reduction in fees. Where fees are paid in instalments, the reduction will be split equally between instalments.

A student must be fully enrolled for the academic year to be entitled to a scholarship.

All scholars will be required to have their name (and potentially photograph and profile) included in Queen’s  University Management School publicity material relating to the scholarship scheme.

Scholarship procedures

After the initial offer letter, communication concerning the scholarship will normally be via the student's Queen’s University e-mail (once allocated).

Final decisions on offering or cancellation of scholarships will rest with Queen’s University Management School.
