Welcome to Northern Ireland's First Financial Trading Room

The First Derivatives Trading room, supported by Invest NI, recreates the characteristics of a professional trading room, such as those found in London or New York, giving students the skills, experience and knowledge necessary to prepare them for a career in the financial services sector.

The trading room incorporates 12 Bloomberg terminals, giving students access to software used by market professionals. To further enhance students’ knowledge of how markets work, Oxyor, a market trading simulator has been installed, where students interact with other market participants both real (each other) and fictitious.
