Queen's Student Managed Fund (QSMF)

Students from all degree levels are invited to participate in managing a real investment fund; from researching, pitching and selecting securities to managing the portfolio of investments. The fund’s goal is to achieve a positive return on its investments whilst educating students in real life investment strategies and decision-making. The SMF allows students to capitalise on Queen’s excellent resources, such as the new Bloomberg Trading Suite located in the First Derivatives trading room, to fully research investment opportunities in a similar manner to real fund managers.

Apply to be a member of the fund’s Executive Committee, responsible for managing the fund and overseeing the investment decisions or apply to a Sector Specific Teams, responsible for researching and pitching potential investment opportunities in particular sectors. Together, the members of the SMF aim to run a successful fund that delivers a positive return on its investment.
