MPhil in Food Safety and Biotechnology (New Research Programme)

Educational Aims

This programme focuses on applied aspects of advanced and emerging analytical technologies to address current issues in food safety, nutrition and food supply.  It covers the entire food chain from farm to fork and places a strong emphasis on the link between increased food safety and nutrition and improved public health.

Duration

1 year full time.

Criteria for Admission to Programme

Minimum requirement for entrance will be first degree at Honours 2.1 or above in relevant area of life sciences.  Applicants for whom English is not their first language would normally require either: an IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 575 (paper-based), or 90 (internet-based), or 65% in the INTO English Language Exit Test or an equivalent qualification.
