Research Interests

The biochemical basis of inherited metabolic diseases, particularly galactosemia  Metabolic enzymes from pathogens, especially trematode parasites  Calcium binding proteins from trematodes  Human IQGAP proteins and their yeast homologue Iqg1p New and old methods to detect and characterise protein-protein interactions  Molecular mechanisms of drug action  Enzyme engineering - new and old(er) approaches.
