The ultimate intention is to give graduates the competitive edge to meet the challenges posed by European enlargement and an increasingly global marketplace. The undergraduate degrees offered by teh school of Biological Sciences focus on contemporary food, animal and human health issues pertaining to agriculture and food industries.
There is considerable interdisciplinary interaction within the Institute, both in teaching and research as well as collaboration with the Institute for Global Food Security.
