Research Interests: 

Theoretical and critical approach to screenwriting for film and comic books; Italian and French cinema; representation of space, tourism and travel in contemporary European cinema; game studies; Screen industries and genre cinema (in particular horror and comedy). 

 

Current Work:  

 At the moment I am writing a book on the representation of travel in the cinema of Bernardo Bertolucci (Berghahan Books).

 I am also the Principal Investigator of the AHRC Research Networking project “World Cinema On-Demand: Film Distribution and Education in the Streaming Media Era” (http://worldcinemaod.wordpress.com/)
