Big Band
The QUB Big Band was founded in 2002, and has become one of the University’s most popular music-making outfits. The band is trained and conducted by Stephen Barnett of the Ulster Orchestra, who is an experienced jazz performer on trombone and piano; the band’s concerts in a range of Belfast venues have featured various world-class solo artists from London, including Gordon Campbell and Bruce Adams. The emphasis in Big Band is on learning about playing jazz. Please contact Dr Stéphanie Bertet for information about vacancies.
