Dr Katrina Lloyd is a Lecturer in the School of Education and (Acting) Deputy Director of the Centre for Effective Education. She has a DPhil in Developmental Psychology and her areas of research expertise include developing and running large-scale surveys of children and young people (including online surveys in schools), analysis of secondary datasets in the Social Sciences, and the emotional health and well-being of children and young people. For four years (2008-2011) she was responsible for running Kids’ Life and Times which is an annual online survey of Primary 7 children in Northern Ireland carried out by ARK.

Katrina is Coordinator of the Research Forum for the Child’s Special Interest Group on Children's Well-being and Quality of Life based in the School of Education.
