  • Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) Counselling  & Psychotherapy Subject Benchmark Working Group ( April 2011 – present)
  • Commission for Victims and Survivors Working Group (June 2011) Identification of  counselling standards for the delivery of services to victims.
  • Commission for Victims and Survivors (April 2011) Health and Wellbeing Advisory Group
  • Psychological Therapy Services (PTS) Strategy Steering Group DHSSPS (May 2009 – September 2010). This Group was established to implement the recommendations of the
  • Bamford Review of Mental Health and Learning Disability (2005) (Northern Ireland).
  • Health Professional Council Professional Liaison Group (PLG) (November 08 – March 2011). – The PLG was established to make recommendations on the regulation of Counselling and Psychotherapists to the Department of Health in September 2009.
  • BACP Representative for  attendance to  the Department of Health Select Committee (June 2009 – present) as an expert advisor. BACP Panel member for written responses to public consultation reports, policy and strategy documents.
  • Mental Health Promotion Expert Working Committee (2004 – 2006) – The Committee was established to take forward key aspects of the Independent Review commissioned by the Department of Health, Social Service and Public Safety (DHSSPS) of policy, practice and legislation relating to mental health.
  • British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (B.A.C.P.) (2003 – 2006).  Executive member of Head of University Counselling Services (HUCS) (a specialised group within the Association of University College Counsellors) (A.U.C.C.)
