The engagement of tutors allows the School to meet its varying teaching needs in supplementing its core staffing base.
These positions are part-time and non-permanent in nature and provide teaching support for courses within the School as and when required. They are not positions treated or designated by the University as a 'Member of Academic Staff' as defined in the University's Statutes nor are they regarded as employees of the University but are engaged under a Contract for Services.
Individuals will be drawn from the pool of registered tutors over the next 4 years to meet teaching assistance needs as they arise. Inclusion on the register does not guarantee the offer of a contract.
All successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate their right to work in the UK and will be required to undertake a short induction programme.
The current rate of pay is £33 per hour of contracted teaching time.
