DRC Annual Guest Lecture Applying a critical race theory (CRT) perspective to current debates and reforms in the US and England, the lecture critiques the operation of colour-blind policies, supposedly meant to ‘raise standards’ and ensure fairness, that systematically disadvantage minoritized groups and appeal to White racist self-interest. Workshop: Prof Charles Russo is Panzer Chair in Education & Adjunct Professor or Law at the University of Dayton Ohio and will be visiting the school of Education between the 11 and 12 April. Prof Russo has very kindly agreed to lead a workshop on how to get academic work published and how to write for publication. |

Workshop: Prof Alison Cook-Sather is Professor of Education at the Andrew W Mellon Teaching and Learning Institute Bryn Mawr College, Philadelphia and the Jean Rudduck Visiting Scholar Homerton College, University of Cambridge, UK. Alison will be visiting the School of Education between the 12 and 13th June. Prof Cook-Sather has very kindly agreed to lead a workshop on working with students in research and teaching. |
