The School of Education welcomes international students who would like to study educational issues at undergraduate or postgraduate levels Queen’s University and encourages applications from overseas students. The School of Education provides an international learning environment. Our staff team includes a number of international colleagues and students from all over the world who come here to study, including students from Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. At the School of Education we appreciate the diversity and character that our international students bring to us and we will try our best to make you feel warmly welcomed when you are here.
Queen’s University Belfast offers special welcoming and orientation programmes to all new international students. English Language courses and support at various levels are offered by INTO at Queen's.

INTO at Queens' provides English language training and support to International Students on behalf of the University in a range of different formats.
Student Guidance Centre
The Student Guidance Centre aims to enhance the student experience at Queen’s, from before entry to post qualification. So, if you are a prospective student, you may refer to the Admissions and Access Service. For current students, the Student Guidance Centre offers a range of services including advice, information and guidance, whatever your query. For students about to qualify, or recently qualified, you can refer to the Careers Service.
The Student Union
Queen's University Students' Union provides a range of facilities and services to make your experience of the transition to studying at Queen’s an enjoyable one. It provides advice on educational, welfare and financial matters. A few international societies at Queen's are The Chinese Students' Society, The Hong Kong Students' Society, The Malaysian Students' Society, The Italian Students' Society, The Singapore Students' Society, The South Asian Students' Society but there are also more informal groups from other countries of course. Vice President for Equality and Diversity represents international students.
Accommodation
Queen’s Student Accommodation Services will be able to provide you with information about university accommodation.
If you are planning to come to Belfast with your family or dependents, it can be difficult to find suitable accommodation. Student Accommodation Services will do their best to provide new students with single accommodation on campus while they seek appropriate family accommodation; please contact Student Accommodation Services in advance of your arrival. Travel Information
Belfast is well connected by sea and air routes to the rest of the world. Northern Ireland is famed for its natural beauty and many students enjoy sightseeing and travelling around during their time here. There are a number of good books on Northern Ireland designed for every kind of traveller and the Northern Irish Tourist Board is an excellent point to begin enquiries.
Cosmopolitan Belfast
Belfast has a great diversity of international residents and visitors -- students, business and professional workers, tourists and the like -- as well as sizeable ethnic populations. Current and previous international students are and have been surprised by the contradictions between their experience of life in Belfast, and international media representations of the city. In fact Belfast is one of Britain's most compelling and cosmopolitan cities, with a great deal of ethnic diversity; you will find plenty of restaurants and shops catering to a wide variety of multicultural interests.
