ESA2001 (S2) HYPERMEDIA AND ETHNOGRAPHIC REPRESENTATION

(This module is not available to students in the Minor Social Anthropology pathway.) This is a project-based module designed to provide you with basic training in practical field methods and in hypermedia skills. The projects will be based on the documentation of a particular ‘cultural’ setting within Belfast in such arenas as music making, art, dance, theatre, sport, architecture, museums etc. You will each pick a setting to document using the field-research skills (observation/participant-observation, interviewing, still photos, moving images, sound recordings) acquired in  class and construct a website based on the material.
