Title of research project:

‘Constructing Selves in a Musical Diaspora: Experiencing Music as a Nigerian Immigrant in Athens.’ 

My research interests mainly consist of Nigerian immigrants in Athens, Greece. This study’s aims and objectives are principally directed towards the investigation of the ways in which music is employed in the everyday life of the specific diasporic population, as well as of the processes through which Nigerian immigrants, whether or not they are musicians, experience music as a means of shaping or/and reflecting their senses of self and identity.
