Fergal O'Leary

Biographical Details

I graduated with a B.A. from University College Dublin, an M.A. from the University of Limerick and an M. Phil. from Trinity College, Dublin.

Research Topic and Interests

The title of my research topic is Soldiers, politics and empire: Ireland, Egypt and the Sudan, 1882–1900. The study examines the Irish response to and contribution during the imperial crises in Egypt and the Sudan.  

I am interested in the Irish role in British imperialism.
