I am a History graduate from the University College Dublin. I am in the second year of my PhD.
My main research interests are 20th century American immigration history, Irish-American cultural and social history, foodways, and tourism.
The title of my thesis is: ‘Transatlantic Tastes:20th-Century Irish American identity, foodways, and tourist experience'. My research aims to analyse Irish American identity construction in regards to cross-generational cultural transmission through the medium of foodways. It will further examine the rise of diasporic heritage tourism aimed at Irish Americans with a focus on postmodern commodification and culinary tourism.
My primary supervisor is Dr. Anthony Stanonis.
