School of History and Anthropology

History at Queen's hosts a lively research culture, focused on a number of regular seminar series:

• The is held throughout the Autumn and Spring semesters.
• There is a regular Postgraduate Research Seminar in History.  Papers are presented by postgraduate students and visiting speakers. The sessions are chaired by a postgraduate student.
• The History Research Seminar meets regularly to hear papers by members of staff and visiting academics.
• A Women's History Seminar has recently been established.
• The MARS initiative hosts seminars in Ancient and Medieval History.
• The Wiles Lecture series sponsored by the Wiles Trust are hosted annually by the School.
• Research papers on historical themes are presented at the interdisciplinary seminar series of the Institute of Irish Studies.
• QUB hosts the seminar series of the Ulster Society for Irish Historical Studies.
