Doctoral & MPhil Research
The Institute welcomes innovative proposals for PhD or MPhil research in the areas of criminology and criminal justice. Currently PhD and MPhil students at the Institute are conducting research on topics such as: reintegration of serious and persistent young offenders, social responses to drugs, the effects of long term imprisonment, media and sexual crime, joyriding, conflict resolution, paramilitary prisoners, transnational crime, sex offenders, young offenders and rape victims. Postgraduate students working on criminology and criminal justice issues are encouraged to play an active part in the work of the Institute.
