Institute of Governance
Objectives
The Governance cluster facilitates research in subject areas that include European Union law (institutional and substantive), administrative law (national and supranational), corporate governance, democratic theory, and e-government. Its broader research perspective is inter-disciplinary. It thus has close links to the Institute of Governance at Queen's, and its members have complementary backgrounds in law, politics, and international relations. The cluster also encourages collaborative work, and members are currently involved in projects with a number of external partners. These projects have both policy based and theoretical dimensions.
The cluster at the same time provides an important pool for the Law School 's teaching commitments in the area of Governance, and several members are actively involved in the Institute of Governance 's DGov programme . The cluster will likewise be central to the School's forthcoming MGov programme, which will commence in 2007-2008.
