Dennis Boyd graduated in law from Queen’s University in 1980 and in the same year was appointed to a part-time lectureship in commercial law at Queen’s. In 1982 he was called to the Bar of Northern Ireland. In 1983, he was appointed to the post of Lecturer in Law at Queen’s and in 1995 to the post of Senior Lecturer in Law. He teaches company law and criminal law. His main research interests lie in the areas of criminal law, criminal procedure and criminal justice issues generally. He is sub-editor of the Bulletin of Northern Ireland Law.
