Biography
Qingxiu Bu joined Queen’s on 1 September 2008. Previously he was a lecturer at Cardiff Law School where he taught Corporate Law and Contract Law as well as an LLM module in International Corporate Governance. Prior to joining Cardiff, Qingxiu was a senior lecturer in Law at University of Wolverhampton. He has also been a visiting professor at Lund, Sweden and City University, Hong Kong. Qingxiu’s research explores a diverse range of issues in company law and corporate governance, including topics in the areas of cross-border M&As and Insolvencies and comparative corporate governance. He has published refereed articles in leading academic law journals in the UK and Australia. He is currently involved in several international corporate governance research projects. These include projects on China’s cross-border bankruptcy law, on shareholder litigation via derivative actions and on third party liabilities. Qingxiu was educated at Soochow University, Groningen University and the University of Birmingham for his taught and research degrees. He has seven years' first-hand experience in international business and legal practice in the Middle East, USA and China and advises a number of government agencies on a range of cross-border transactions issues.
