Biography
Judge Anthony Hart QC has been Recorder of Belfast since 1997 and Presiding Judge of the county courts since 2002. Educated at Trinity College, Dublin and Queen’s University before being called to the Northern Ireland Bar in 1969, and to the English Bar by Gray’s Inn in 1975, he became a QC in 1983 and was appointed a county court judge in 1985. A former president of the Irish Legal History Society, Judge Hart was appointed to be a Judge of the High Court of Justice in Northern Ireland in January 2005.
