The Institute of Physics launched Project JUNO in 2007. The objective of Juno is to recognise and reward departments that can demonstrate they have taken action to address the under-representation of women in university physics and to encourage better practice for both women and men.

The Women in Mathematics Committee within the London Mathematical Society provide support for mathematics departments working towards Athena SWAN award status. The Society is a strong advocate of advancing women’s careers in university mathematics departments.
