The Queen’s Gender Initiative (QGI) was initially launched in October 2000.  A report was produced detailing various recommendations for addressing the gender imbalance at Queens. The objective of the initiative was to ensure these recommendations were implemented within the university. The initiative continues to meet with university directorates and Schools to provide a forum for communication regarding equal opportunities at Queens.  The aims and objectives of the QGI include:

To foster an ethos of gender equality across the University To mainstream exemplar equality practices To make QUB a recognised leader in equal opportunities for women with men
