The Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) is the UK's learned and professional society for mathematics and its applications.
The IMA has granted accreditation to the following degree programmes:
MSci (Hons) Mathematics
MSci (Hons) Mathematics and Statistics & Operational Research
These programmes are accredited to meet the educational requirement of the Chartered Mathematician designation awarded by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications.
BSc (Hons) Mathematics
BSc (Hons) Mathematics and Statistics & Operational Research
BSc (Hons) Mathematics with Extended Studies in Europe
These programmes will meet the educational requirement of the Chartered Mathematician designation awarded by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, when they are followed by subsequent training and experience in employment to obtain equivalent competences to those specified by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for taught masters degrees.
