This is a series of talks and demonstration lectures to show the fun side of Physics. It is held usually during the last week of June corresponding to the last week of the Northern Ireland second level school term. It is targeted towards 4th form (year 11) second level school students and aims to show the entertaining and applications aspects of Physics.
The event, sponsored by the Institute of Physics in Ireland and the Department of Physics and Astronomy, is held on two days with three lectures per day in a lecture theatre on the main QUB campus and attracts approximately 200 students per day. Students also have the opportunity to experience the QUB teaching and student facilities and for example, visit the Students' Union for lunch.
