In celebration of the first demonstration of a working laser in 1960 the School of Mathematics and Physics at Queen's University Belfast arranged a one day Scientific Meeting on the history, applications and future of the laser and a Dinner with reflections on the life and work of Prof Dan Bradley, an Ulsterman who made major contributions to its early development.
