Quantum optics, quantum optomechanics, and mesoscopic quantum systems. Non-linear processes in optomechanical systems.
Following my undergraduate years in Malta, I read for a PhD in Physics at the University of Southampton (England), graduating in 2011. I then spent a short time working as a post-doc with Klemens Hammerer at the Leibniz University, in Hannover (Germany). As of October 2011 I am a Research Fellow of the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851, working on quantum optics, optomechanics, and all other things 'quantum', in Belfast.
