MSc, PG Dip and PG Cert options available
Materials Science is the foundation for much of the technological advances in recent decades, and continues to drive development of new devices and functionalities in a wide variety of fields. This course is aimed at people with a physical sciences background, who want to learn more about Materials Science to help solve advance engineering problems.

Normally a 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering or a related discipline.

Three year, part time (one year full-time equivalent)
There are three compulsory core modules, required for all three programmes of study. Students, wishing to complete a PG Dip or MSc, must also take three specialist modules. For an MSc a research project (which can be in the student's place of work), leading to a submitted dissertation is also required.
Modules can also be taken individually with certificates awarded upon successful completion of the assessments.
