Low Energy Ion Facilities at Belfast

We have a number of ion source facilities which are available to outside users as part of an EU 5th framework thematic network on Low Energy Ion Beams (LEIF). These facilities can be used by applying to the LEIF network for transnational access.

EU 6th Framework Integrated Infrastructure- NEWLEIF

We are part of a follow-on proposal to this network  where our ion sources (QULEIF) will become part of a virtual ion source facility which will offer users a full range of sources for various applications.
