Success for SMAE Students at final of National Undergraduate Employability (NUE) Awards


Stage 3 QUB Mechanical Engineering students David McReynolds and Andrew Hawthorne recently attended the National Undergraduate Employability (NUE) Awards in London –

Andrew was a finalist in the ‘Best Placement Student’ category for his placement at BMW. Sponsored by L’Oreal, this category focused on the genuine and measurable impact students contributed whilst on placement to businesses across the UK.

David was placed 1st in his category ‘Best Contribution to Small-Medium Enterprise’ for the impact he made whilst on placement at EDGE. Sponsored by ProspectSoft, this category recognised David as someone who exceeded expectations and genuinely made a significant impact to the business as a whole.
