Ross Blair Wins 1st Prize in Student Presentation Competition at BINI 2017 Conference
Queen’s University Belfast recently hosted the 23rd Annual Conference of Bioengineering in Ireland (BINI). The conference was organised by staff and researchers including the Bioengineering Research Group from the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Queens. Dr Alex Lennon was conference Chair. Included in what was an excellent technical programme was a Student Presentation Competition and this year's winner was Ross Blair also from the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Queens. Ross' presentation was entitled 'EFFECT OF PROCESSING HISTORY ON THE MECHANICAL BEHAVIOUR OF PLLA STENTS'. Ross is currently undertaking a PhD at Queens entitled 'Investigating Biomechanics of Bioresorbable Coronary Stents' where he is under the supervision of Dr Gary Menary, Dr Alex Lennon and Prof Nicholas Dunne.
