Level 1
Queen's Foundation Scholarship: awarded in 2009 to William Alexander and Catherine Harvey.

Level 2
A N Troughton award: awarded in 2009 to Deborah Farmer.

Level 3
The Richard Bales Prize for achievement in a Level 3 Optional module awarded in 2009 to Caoimhe NicLochlainn.
The Chris Shorley Prize for achievement in Level 3 Language awarded in 2009 to Christopher Deary.

EVENTS IN FRENCH STUDIES

French Society The Student French society, with support from the staff, organises various social events including, for example, wine and cheese parties, discos (to which French assistants working locally are invited), talks, readings, film shows, quizzes, mystery tour; it also runs an annual formal.
