Points to Remember
Clinical Allocations
- You will be emailed when your clinical allocations are available to view on QOL approximately 6 weeks prior to the start date of placement.
- Check your placements at least one week prior to the start date. Check QOL regularly as placements can change (Unfortunately students cannot request a swap if placements change after the swap date). It is your responsibility to attend the correct clinical area.
- Placements are normally 37.5 hours per week and you may be required to work nights, long shifts and weekends.
- All absence from placement will be recorded and all time missed must be made up.
- When absent from placement inform the ward and telephone the school sickline on 02890 972192.
- You will spend 40% of your placement time with your mentor.
- You are not off on bank holidays unless the clinical area is closed.
- Any queries regarding Travel Expenses should be directed to Bursaries on 028 9055 3659 or 028 9055 3661 .
- Placements allocated to students who take a temporary withdrawal will not be held and students may be re-allocated to another area.
