UK Transfer Applications

Persons who have successfully completed a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) approved Common Foundation Programme within the last 2 years may apply to this School to undertake one of the following Branch programmes:

In September 2007 - Adult or Children’s or Mental Health Branches
In February 2008 - Adult or Learning Disability Branches

The entry criteria are as follows:

  • 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above to include English Language,
    Mathematics and a Science subject.
  • For Access students only, GCSE English Language, Mathematics
    and Science at Grade C or their equivalent.
  • Acceptable ‘A levels’ or their equivalent.
  • A successfully completed NMC approved Common Foundation
    Programme prior to the date of commencement of the branch programme.
  • Receipt of an academic transcript from the original University.
  • Two satisfactory references, one of which must be an academic reference
    from the original University.
  • Successful interview.
  • A satisfactory QUB Occupational Health Assessment.
  • A satisfactory Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adult police check.

Application forms must be in the Registry Office by
4 pm on 8 June 2007.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that the School receives the forms on time. The School takes no responsibility for late or applications lost in the post. Telephone requests for application forms will not be accepted.
