Colleagues from Washburn University, Kansas, University of Szeged, Hungary, and Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences, Savonlinna, Finland with Dr Patrick McCartan and Dr Kathy Rowe during their recent visit 13th – 19th  March 2008. 

 

The purpose of the visit was to write and submit an undergraduate educational grant proposal to the EU and FIPSE.  However some time was taken off on 17th March to enjoy a cultural day in Downpatrick.  A good time was had by all.  


 

Department of Nursing, Szeged University, Hungary

The school of Nursing and Midwifery hosted the visit of Ibolya Tulkan (Assistant Professor) from Szeged, Hungary during the summer.  The school has a long partnership with Szeged.  Ibolya spent time searching the literature in preparation for joint papers with the school.


 

International Honour

Dr Kathy Rowe has been awarded the title of Honorary Professor of the Faculty   of Health Sciences, University of Szeged, Hungary. She received the title during   the University Graduation in June 2005 and is the first academic to receive the title from the University of Szeged.

Celebrating with Krisztina Pataki. Krisztina joined 3 months clinical   experience in Belfast through the Socrates-Erasmus   agreement with Queen’s University Belfast. She was awarded a BSc   in Nursing.
