Qualifications

PhD, MSc Applied Psychology (Distinction), BA(Hons) Organisation Studies, Diploma in Higher Education, Postgraduate Certificate in Education.

 

Research Interests

Health psychology - principally stress and coping.  My research explores the effects of stress on well-being and learning in nursing students and earlier research has assessed the sources and effects of stress in different occupational groups.  My second research interest is in promoting quality of teaching and learning in higher education.

 

Current Research Activity

  • Exploring stress, well-being and coping in pre-registration nursing students
  • Development of the Education theme within the school.
