What do I have to do if I want to take part?

If you decide you would like to take part you and your parent will be asked to come along for a total of three study visits where you will meet with the researcher called Hannah Jane.

If it suits better Hannah-Jane can call to your house to see you.

Each study visit should take about 35 minutes.  The study visits will take place at the beginning, middle and end of the study.  The whole study will last 24 weeks.

At each study visit you will be asked to complete questionnaires to help us to understand how you feel and interact with others. The researcher will help you. We will ask questions like:

“I help my friends when they are having a problem”

Not true

A little true

A lot true

Very true

“During the past week, I felt happy”

Not at all

A little

A lot

We will ask you to circle the answer which shows how you feel. This is not a test and there are no right or wrong answers. It is just what you feel.

Your parent will also be asked to complete some questionnaires.

We may also ask the person in charge of looking after you at your clinic to share some of your information with us. This may include things like what type of help you are getting from your clinic.
